As a typical Seremban person, I am pretty sure many of you have walked pass or even seen this Japanese restaurant which located at Uptown Avenue Seremban 2. Yes, the fast-casual dining I wanted to introduce to you guys is Azuma Japanese Restaurant, Uptown Avenue Seremban 2 !!!
This eatery was launched in Malaysia in 2008. What is so different among those Japanese restaurants in Seremban is they are serving the freshest Sashimi and Salmon and wholesome to make for an amazing meal. So if you are a Sashimi or Salmon lover you are highly recommended to this Azuma Japanese Restaurant! Of course for friends that do not take pork, do not feel sad or worry because this Japanese restaurant claims to be PORK FREE. Today if you are a Japanese food lover, no matter you are of any race, you are always welcomed!
Besides AZUMA had got many recognitions from customers such as dishes is cheap, foods are fresh, the environment is comfortable and many more and also many rewards from various aspects. For instance the awards as the best restaurant in Malaysia and Asia which is Malaysia Tatler Best Restaurant 2015.
Azuma is an old Japanese name meaning “EAST”. The name was used to refer to the eastern provinces of ancient feudal Japan, where the heritage and mouth-watering traditional cuisine were steep. So let’s taste the taste of the East with Azuma.

This is the drinks bar with the paying counter on the left. AZUMA has served various type of Japanese sake. If you are a Japanese sake’s lover feel free to visit.

ZENSAI ~ Appetiser

ZENSAI – NEGI TAPPURI NO TAKO YAKI FU (A01) – RM10.30
“NEGI TAPPURI NO TAKO YAKI FU” is a deep-fried octopus ball. The octopus is chopped into small pieces putting inside the ball. Matching those ball with the sauce, seaweed and some dried toppings it is really human cuisine ever.

ZENSAI – YAKI GYOZA (A10) – RM10.30
“YAKI GYOZA” is a pan-fried dumpling. I’m in love with the out skin of the dumpling that is super crisp! As a reminder, when you are taking the first bite of this dumpling please be careful!!! This is because the juice inside the dumpling is damn hot! I didn’t prefer to eat with the sauce as this sauce is made by vinegar.
TEMAKI ~ Hand Roll

TEMAKI – SHAKE OYAKO TEMAKI (E06) – RM9.90
“TEMAKI” is a (hand roll) large con shaped rice pieces with different fillings and rice rolled with a piece of seaweed. I didn’t order any “SASHIMI TO SUSHI” or “AZUMA SPECIAL” because I can’t really eat SASHIMI without any side dishes so I order “SHAKE OYAKO TEMAKI”. It is a raw salmon & steamed rice hand roll. The seaweed of it is really crispy and the fish eggs are really juicy and fresh. I kindly recommend this to those who like salmon and fish eggs!
SARADA ~ Salad

SARADA – KAISOU SARADA (F06) – RM16
I kindly introduce to those who love to eat the vegetable or anyone that is keeping fit this “KAISOU SARADA”. It is a fresh salad topped with assorted seaweed & crispy chips. The seaweed and vegetable are totally fresh to burst, every bite of it is really crispy and sweet. You can really feel the freshness of those vegetables from in to out. OMG!!!
MUSHI MONO ~ Steamed Egg Custard

MUSHI MONO – CHAWAN MUSHI (G08) – RM4.20
Mushi mono is referring to a steamed dish. I have ordered “CHAWAN MUSHI” which is a steamed egg custard. There is some chicken at the bottom of the steamed egg and I think it is very suitable for steamed egg’s lover because the egg is very smooth and tender that Let me have an endless aftertaste.
SHIRU MONO ~ Bean Paste Soup

SHIRU MONO – MISO SHIRU (G04) – RM3.30
I kindly suggest this “MISO SHIRU” which is a bean paste soup with seaweed & tofu to you guys. It is a light soup that doesn’t heavy which suitable to be served by a senior citizen or children. The soup is on the right of the picture.
TEMPURA · AGEMONO ~ Deep fried food with sauce

TEMPURA · AGEMONO – AGE DASHI TOFU (J12) – RM8
For tempura, it is a deep-fried food that must be served with either any three type of sauce. I had ordered “AGE DASHI TOFU” which is served by deep-fried bean card that served with tempura sauce. I’m a super tofu lover so this dish is a “MUST” whenever I go to any Japanese restaurant. The matching of the tofu and the sauce simply paradise. Especially the out crispy out skin out the tofu match with the sauce is really melting my heart!!!
IPPIN RYOKI ~ A la carte

IPPIN RYOKI – SABA SHIOYAKI / TERIYAKI (H17) – RM 16
This meal can be served in two type of sauce which is grilled mackerel with salt or teriyaki sauce. I had chosen to be served with teriyaki sauce because I prefer to eat any dish that serves with sauce rather than grilled so I had ordered “SABA TERIYAKI”.
TEISHOKU ~ Japanese set meal
I did not order any “TEISHOKU” which is a Japanese set meal that served with fruit, egg custard, mini salad, steamed rice, bean past soup and also any sushi dish because those meals above that I showed above were full enough for us.
DEZA-TO ~ Dessert

For dessert, I had chosen this “DAIFUKU”. It is a popular Japanese snack, which is a small round mochi stuffed with sweet red bean paste or other favor paste. The thin soft mochi out skin match with the fillings is very best. The softness of it makes me want to pick one after another. If you never try this before you better go and have a try!!! Based on the red color plate it is cost at RM5.90.

This is our receipt for the day. The amount of it is RM135.70 with
10% of service charge which is RM13.57.
So the total amount of us is RM149.25.
All in all, above are all my opinion and recommendation of Azuma Japanese Restaurant, Seremban 2. From my personal point of view, the price of Azuma meal is medium and not too expensive or too cheap. It is great value for me because their food is really fresh and their environment is very good and comfortable. I hope they can continue to maintain this level. I look forward to my next visit.
